only women get nailed?
A few years ago, most men would never have admitted to receiving a manicure because of its more feminine connotation. Nowadays, manicures have become more accepted as part of a man's maintenance because healthy, proper fingernails and hands portray confidence and most importantly, cleanliness. The time has arrived for every man to treat himself to at least one manicure a year, if not more; manicures are no longer just for women.

Manicures are relatively cheap and are a great way to clean, strengthen and relax your fingertips. As for the white part of the nail, the recommended length is between 1 to 2 millimeters. Any more than that is simply not aesthetically pleasing. Besides, having longer fingernails might mislead people to thinking you're the ghetto pimp or even worse: the next RuPaul.

who wants cocktails?
Looking sharp should be part of your daily routine, but you should pay extra attention to your style when you're invited to a cocktail party. Who knows, you might meet your next soul mate or wrap up a lucrative sales contract at the party, so look sharp and read these tips to be prepared.

1. Find out the purpose of the event. If you received a phone or e-mail invitation, then chances are the event is more casual. On the other hand, if you received a card or a more official invitation (charity or association event), more formal attire is required.

2. If the event is held during the spring or summer season, then outfits made of lighter fabrics are suggested, as are brighter, livelier colors. If the occasion is held during the fall or winter season, then wear clothing in heavier fabrics and low-key colors, such as shades of gray or earth tones..

3. Casual business wear is perfect for an after-work semi-formal cocktail party. If you're wearing khakis or sportier pants, simply slip on a blazer to polish off your look. Make sure you're wearing a nice dress shirt or turtleneck and ensure that it fits well under your blazer.

4. Loafers or trendier lace-up shoes should replace sandals and running shoes. Whatever you wear, make sure you avoid cowboy or any other type of boots, and slip-on shoes.

5. As a rule of thumb, afternoon cocktails call for more casual attire rather than more formal evening cocktail gatherings.

6. If you're going to an evening get-together, make sure you wear a suit. Whether the invitation reads "semiformal" or "black-tie optional," a suit is definitely your best bet.

7. Stay away from athletic shoes and socks (especially white ones). Also, stay away from any type of shorts. Instead, opt for lightweight pants such as linen. we like double-breasts
You're not alone with this dilemma, as this question is probably one of the most popular ones I receive. Double-breasted suits will always remain in style. They have obviously varied in popularity throughout the years, but in general, sporting a double-breasted jacket will give you an elegant and classic look.

A double-breasted jacket also gives you a more mature and formal appearance. That's why most stylists believe that double-breasted suits are designed for men, not boys. They are also more flattering on slimmer men rather than portly ones.

everyone likes leather
What should I use to restore my old black leather jacket?

Pick up a leather treatment at any hardware store or shoemaker. Many brands and types of products are specifically designed to protect and restore your leather goods. Lexol is a very popular product, which will restore and protect your most cherished leather goods.

Mink and oil beeswax combinations are usually found in paste form and are great for very old leather articles. Don't be shy; ask the store clerk for advice on how to maintain your precious leather.
